PRAO: How did it go?

You all have now completed two weeks of practical work experience. Hopefully, your experience was both educational and fun! If you are really lucky, you have discovered what you want to do when you "grow up"...or not.


During this unit you will be given the chance to tell your classmates about some of the things that happened during your two weeks of PRAO. Using pictures, texts and narrative, you will create a short film about your PRAO experience. We recommend that you usePowToon to create you films however, feel free to use another program such as iMovie if you prefer. Your completed films are to be uploaded to YouTube with a privacy setting of unlisted or private.


Your PRAO film should contain the following information:

• A day in the life of…describe a typical day.
• Before and After…what were your expectations before you started/how did it go?
• Plus and minuses… what did you feel was positive (plus) and negative (minus) about your experience?
• Jargon/vocabulary…at least 10 vocabulary words that can be associated with your job.
• Precious moments…describe a few of the highlights from your two weeks.
